Will it be possible for invoices registered on IRP to be downloaded and saved on handheld devices?

It depends on the ERP/Accounting/Billing Software providing you the service. Can store the signed JSON on handheld devices also.

However, signed invoice JSON will not be available for download from IRP or GST System. Hence, it is advisable to store the signed e-invoice received from IRP properly.
